RuN RiOT keeps 'em coming!

This is a long overdue post, but I'm finally getting the chance to sit down & show some love to our breaks ambassador RuN RiOT. This man keeps churning 'em out so it's about time I post some more projects for all you breaks/electronic fans to enjoy. First up is R.R.'s rework of Audio Bullys (probably best known for their hit, "Shot Me Down") called "Kiss The Sky". Check the grimy synth work right here & download at will:

Described as "dirty acid" from his iDJ review, "Everybody Needs A Bassline2" is a R.R. original and is as "in your face" as the come. My personal favorite flips throughout the song come at around 1:36 and 3:37:

Purchase "Everybody Needs A Bassline2" here:

Lady Packa - "Pretty Bop" (RuN RiOT Remix)

Back on the blog is another remix from UK electronica/breaks producer RuN RiOT. His newest remix is for Spain's own break beat DJ, Lady Packa. RuN RiOT's remix of "Pretty Bop" features a dope drum pattern complete with multiple kicks and fat snares that switch nicely around the 1:34 mark and are sure to get any breaks fiend moving. The rumbling bass line is something best appreciated on a good pair of speakers or headphones and is definitely a strong feature of the track.

"Pretty Bop" is now available on Beatport, so if you're a fan of breaks you know what to do!

Presenting Brocktologist a.k.a. B L'amour...

I can't tell you how much of a sucker I am for good dance music. Disco tends to hit the spot as far as feel-good dance floor funk goes, and Kentucky based producer/songwriter/DJ/drummer extraordinaire Brock Ward a.k.a. Brocktologist is a provider of that dance floor funk. Having lived in places such as New York City, Miami, Charleston, and Venezuela, Brocktologist has been influenced by the cultures found in each area and has been able to provide an array of eclectic music through those influences. His alias as B'Lamour handles the disco end of things, and does a great job of doing so.

Tracks like "You Know" and "You Got Me Dancin'" showcase a classic disco feel with a modern twist. Funky basslines, intricate sample chops, and thick handclaps come standard on these cuts. It's a feel good vibe that's hard to argue with and is sure to get the dance floor going. Brocktologist has also provided two mixes and a remix of house/disco producer Louis La Roche's "Distant Lovers", which is full of synthy goodness and a latin infused flip on the drums. All are available as free downloads, so get 'em while you can and enjoy the funky sounds of Brock Ward!
